LSP Renewables has been selected to provide recruitment support to Ireland’s largest offshore wind project, the up to 1500MW Codling Wind Park.
The recruitment outfit will supply a range of personnel covering the lifecycle of the project, which is at the design and development stage.
LSP said it will seek to source such personnel locally as far as possible.
The offshore wind project will require more than 1000 construction jobs and 70 long-term, locally based jobs.
Divisional director Ashley Harrington said: “We are delighted to be supporting this exciting project to develop Ireland’s largest offshore wind farm.
“LSP has been supporting the Codling Wind Park project for the past 12 months and look forward to doing so for the next five years.
“Our business aim is always to supply our clients with the best-in-class talent to ensure their projects run smoothly from start to finish”.
Codling Wind Park is located in the Irish Sea, approximately 13-22km off the east coast of Ireland, between Greystones and Wicklow.
Codling Wind Park Limited (CWPL) is a 50/50 joint venture between Fred Olsen Renewables and EDF Renewables.
Ongoing survey activities along with further public consultations will inform the final design, including the number and size of turbines required to ensure the renewable electricity produced is optimised.
