Orsted has announced that Troy Patton will takeover as chief operating officer of its Offshore North American region.
Patton fills a position which has been vacant since David Hardy stepped up to the chief executive role in October last year.
He joins Orsted from his position as COO at Northland Power, where he was responsible for managing risk and revenue for all operating assets, for all gas supply and electricity offtake, worked closely with the development and M&A functions, and built partnerships within projects and governance.
Orsted offshore North America chief executive David Hardy said: “Troy is a fantastic hire for our organization as offshore wind continues to grow exponentially in the U.S.
“His experience and expertise will help as we accelerate the development of our offshore wind projects.
Troy Patton said: “I’m excited to join Ørsted as it continues its market leading position in the U.S. As our projects proceed further I’m looking forward to overcoming the challenges ahead and to getting steel into the water.”
