50Hertz has issued a tender for a supplier of a 220kV submarine and land cable system for the Ostwind 3 grid connection.
The successful bidder will be responsible for design, engineering, construction, supply, installation, burial, handling and commissioning of the cable system.

The cable system will connect the onshore substation in Stilow in north-east Germany to an offshore substation in the Baltic Sea.
The deadline for applications for the tender is the 7 July and the contract will have a 4-year duration.
Ostwind 3 is the third offshore project for the grid connection of the wind farm areas to the north-east of Rügen Island.
