Island Offshore has secured contract for its walk-to-work vessel to serve the DanTysk Sandbank offshore wind farms operated by Vattenfall.
The Island Diligence vessel will provide accommodation and transfer of technicians via the vessel’s gangway, to the wind turbines at DanTysk and Sandbank offshore wind farms, owned by a joint venture between Stadtwerke Munchen and Vattenfall.
The wind farms are located within the German exclusive economic zone (EZZ) outside Esbjerg.
Island Diligence started operations from Esbjerg port this month and the contract is a four-month firm agreement plus options.
The 288MW DanTysk consists of 80 wind turbines and has been in operation since 2014.
The 288MW Sandbank has been in operation since 2017 and consists 72 wind turbines.
