Vestas has received an 86MW turbine order from OX2 for the Karskruv wind farm in Sweden.
The deal covers supply and installation of 20 V150-4.3MW machines, as well as a 30-year active output management 5000 service agreement.
Karskruv is due to be constructed in the municipality of Uppvidinge in Kronoberg County.
Deliveries are expected to start in the second quarter of 2023, while commissioning is planned for the fourth quarter of the same year.
The order adds to more than 5GW of wind energy capacity that Vestas has installed in Sweden.
Vestas Northern & Central Europe vice president sales North and West Juan Furones said: “With more than 1.5GW in orders from OX2 across the Nordic region and Poland, we are pleased to be continuing our partnership with the Karskruv project.
“Karskruv boosts our track record of installing over 5GW of wind energy capacity in Sweden, and we are delighted to be entrusted to continue delivering for Sweden.”
OX2 head of development and acquisitions Peter Tornberg said: “Our relationship with Vestas has always been very reliable and strong.
“I’m glad that we can continue to develop and build very attractive renewable projects having Vestas as one of our key suppliers of wind turbines.”
