Vattenfall has secured a Natura 2000 permit from the County Administrative Board of Skane for its 640MW Swedish Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm.
However, the company is still waiting for the government’s decision on proposed amendments to the delayed project, which it submitted last year in response to advances in technological advancements in turbine technology.
Vattenfall said its is also progressing with the grid permitting process for the project, with around five permits requiring approval from various authorities.
The company has also submitted an application for a Natura 2000 permit for its 864MW Stora Middelgrund development.
Meanwhile, RWE said it is gearing up to start an offshore survey campaign in the summer of the site of its planned 1.6GW Sodra Midsjobanken wind farm.
