Vestas has secured wind turbine orders in Greece and Turkey amounting to 168MW.
In Greece, Rokas Renewables, a subsidiary of Iberdrola Renewables, has placed a 102MW order for three wind projects in Greece.
The order includes the supply and installation of twenty V150-4.2 MW wind turbines for the Askio 2 and Askio 3 wind parks, as well as three V162-6.0MW EnVentus wind turbines for the Rokani wind park.
Turbine delivery for the projects in Greece is planned for the first half of 2022, whilst commissioning is planned for the second half of the same year.
Vestas will service the Askio 2 and Askio 3 projects for five years and the Rokani project for 10 years.
Rokani will be the first project to feature turbines from the EnVentus platform in Greece.
The V162-6.0MW will also become the largest rotor ever installed in the country.

The three projects were awarded in the Greek renewables auctions held in July 2020.
In Turkey Vestas received a 66MW order for an undisclosed wind project and customer.
The contract includes the supply and installation of eleven V162-6.0MW wind turbines and Vestas will service the turbines for 15 years.
With a swept area of over 20,000m², the V162-6.0MW applies the largest rotor size in Vestas’ onshore product portfolio to achieve industry-leading energy production paired with a high capacity factor.
