Renewables developer Hive Energy has appointed new country manager in Greece.
Costas Caralis has been working in the Greek and Cypriot solar PV business since 2008 and held senior management positions in both solar technology development and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC).
Caralis previously worked at Solarcentury, setting up the Greek operations and leading the development in the country.
Hive said it believes Greece to be the ideal location to expand its operations in due to high solar load capacity and supportive government policy and supports the ambitious governmental Renewable Energy Sources plans for full decarbonisation by 2028.
Hive Energy’s activities in Greece will include the development, construction and asset management of renewable projects with a focus on co-location projects that combine both solar and storage technologies.
