RWE will start geophysical surveying work for the Dublin Array Wind Farm Project, which it is developing with Saorgas Energy, on 9 February 2021.
The work to characterise the Dublin Array offshore array and export cable search area, is scheduled to continue until 11 May 2021, weather permitting.
It is hoped the surveys will provide options for export cables routes to possible landfall options in the area of Shanganah Park and Poolbeg.
The project, which is expected to comprise between 45 and 61 turbines generating up to 900MW, is in development phase.
RWE is leading on the development of the project on behalf of the partnership.
The project is located on the Kish and Bray banks, approximately 10km off the east coast of Ireland, immediately south of Dublin.
A total of 4 vessels will be working on the project.
