Tokyo-based shipping firm Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) is to create a new offshore wind division from 1 April 2021.
President and chief executive Junichiro Ikeda announced the move as part of a wider restructuring of the organisation.

MOL’s Wind Power Energy Business Division will specialise in offshore wind and related operations.
It will also be tasked with expanding and accelerating MOL’s current activities in this area.
Last April, MOL signed a contract with Orsted through its Ta San Shang Marine JV with Taiwan’s Ta Tong Marine Group.
The agreement was to supply the first Taiwan-flagged service operation vessel (pictured) for the Danish developer’s 900MW Greater Changhua 1&2a offshore wind farms.
