EDPR has been awarded a 74MW photovoltaic solar energy project with a 20-year PPA in the US.
Granted through its 100%-owned EDP Renewables North America arm, the project is located in North Carolina and is scheduled for launch by 2022.

Through this new agreement, EDPR has contracted 87% of the nearly 7GW of the global wind and solar power capacity incorporation target for the period 2019-2022.
With current solar energy assets under operation and the 1.5GW in new solar projects already contracted by the firm, by 2022 EDPR’s portfolio will have incorporated 1.8 GW of solar power capacity.
