Vestas has secured a 50MW turbine order from ERG for the Sandy Knowe wind farm in Scotland.
The project will feature 14 V112-3.45MW turbines in 3.6MW power optimised mode, in order to maximise the site’s power production while ensuring lowest cost of energy to the energy consumer.
Deliveries are expected to start in the third quarter of 2021, while commissioning is planned for the fourth quarter of the same year.
The project will feature a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution, as well as a 20-year active output management 5000 service agreement.

Vestas said the contract strengthens its presence in the UK onshore wind market, where it has installed more than 2000 turbines with a total capacity of over 4GW.
