CWind, part of the Global Marine Group, has completed this year’s subsea services at the East Anglia 1 Wind farm.
It was awarded a multi-year contract for ScottishPower Renewables and Macquarie’s Green Investment Group’s JV in 2019 to carry out services including subsea inspections of the foundation jackets and offshore substation.
It also completed any corrective maintenance requested and pre-engineering studies at the offshore wind farm.
Located 43km off the coast of Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, East Anglia 1, is the first of four offshore windfarms ScottishPower Renewables is developing in the region.
CWind worked with Rovco, providers of ROV and hydrographic services, to carry out this year’s campaign.
Rovco carried out the annual subsea balance of plant (BOP) and cable inspection works at the offshore windfarm.

Rovco managing director Simon Miller added: “The use of our Intelligent Data Platform (IDP) for daily progress tracking, data capture and easy interpretation of inspection results via a dedicated secure storage platform, is testament to an industry that is driving the use of new technologies to bring efficiencies and help lower the LCOE over the OpEx portion of the windfarm assets lifecycle.”
