A joint venture of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), Asia Energy Petroleum and Novasia Energy has awarded two contracts for site investigations at the 3500MW La Gan offshore wind farm in Vietnam.
One contract with Axys Technologies is for the deployment of a floating lidar, while the second is with Danish company Niras Group for environmental and social impact assessments.
The contracts are valued at about $5m (€4.3m), the partners said.
Axys will cooperate with several Vietnamese sub-contractors, including Petrosetco, Vietnam Coast Guard and Rynan Technologies to deploy the lidar off the coast of Binh Thuan province.
Niras will also work with Vietnamese sub-contractors including Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 3, Vietnam Petroleum Institute – Centre for Research and Development of Safety and Environment of Oil and Gas, Wildlife Research & Tourism Services Company Limited and Support for Indigenous Values and Sustainable Environment.
