RES has signed a deal with Red Rock Power to provide management services for the 50MW Afton wind farm in East Ayrshire, Scotland.
RES will also provide custom grid services for the wind farm through its control centre in Glasgow, working with National Grid ESO to manage output from the project in real time.
The agreement takes the total capacity of RES’ asset management portfolio in the UK and Ireland to 1.3GW.
The 25-turbine wind farm lies just south of New Cumnock.
RES asset management director Darren Cook said: “We are committed to providing everyone with affordable clean energy, so we are especially pleased to sign this deal with Red Rock Power to manage day-to-day operations at Afton.
