The German Federal Network Agency BNetzA has awarded over 658MW of onshore wind capacity in the country’s latest auction.
BNetzA said 89 bids for almost 768MW were received for the more than 825MW on offer.
A total of 74 bids were successful at a volume-weighted average price of €61.1 a megawatt-hour (MWh).
Bids ranged from €56.0/MWh to €62.0/MWh, BNetzA said.
It added that the largest number of bids were successful in Schleswig-Holstein, where there were 23 awards totalling 108.5MW, followed by Lower Saxony with 18 awards for 234.75MW.
RWE said it was successful with two projects in the auction – the 11.7MW Evendorf wind farm in Lower Saxony and the 19.8MW Krusemark repowering in Saxony-Anhalt.
BNetzA said in the latest solar auction it awarded just over 103MW to 30 projects, having received 87 bids totalling more than 393MW.
The volume-weighted average price was €52.3/MWh, with bids between €49.8/MWh and €53.6/MWh.
The next tenders will be held on 1 December.
