Heerema Marine Contractors has installed the jacket foundation for the Hollandse Kust Zuid Alpha offshore substation off the Netherlands.
The work was carried out by Heerema’s vessel Sleipnir over the weekend, Dutch transmission system operator TenneT said.

It added that the jacket weighs 3200 tonnes, is 46 metres high, 29 metres long and in waters of 20 metres.
Installation of two 220kV cables will follow in the coming months, said TenneT.
The jacket will support a 700MW topside, one of two offshore substations for the 1.5GW offshore wind farm.
