Orsted has put out a tender for an engineering outfit to provide project certification services on the 242MW Gode Wind 3 and 900MW Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind projects, off the coast of Germany.
The developer has structured the tender into three portions for both projects, with a total contractual value of €5m.
The first spans wind turbines, towers, substructures and foundations for each project including implementation phase, final evaluation and project certificate.
The value of the contract is €4m.
The contract will run from December 2020 until December 2024.
The second is project certification services for the offshore substations at Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Rifftrund 3, including topside, support structure and foundations.
The contract value is €650,000 and it will commence in December of this year, running until December 2024.
The final portion is for project certification for inter-array cables for both wind farms.
The contract, worth €350,000 will run from December 2020 to December 2024.
In the tender documents Orsted said more recent project references will be considered favourably along with experience within the offshore wind industry, specifically project certification of wind turbine generators, including support structures, as well as for offshore wind farm substations.
The deadline for tenders or requests to participate is 31 August.
Orsted said it intends to send invitations to tender to selected candidates on 2 September.
