Construction has been completed in Taiwan on a crew transfer vessel (CTV) built for work on the 640MW Yunlin offshore wind farm.
The boat, called Prosperous 1, was ordered by the project developer WPD and independent service provider Deutsche Windtechnik.

Work on the vessel was carried out by Prosperous Wind Shipping and shipyard LungTeh.
Prosperous 1 was delivered on time and was named at a ceremony on 20 July in Yilan County.
The vessel is the first locally built CTV for Prosperous Wind Shipping in Taiwan and will be used to transport local technicians and materials to Yunlin.
The decision to build the CTV locally was made with respect to Taiwan’s offshore local content policy and to strengthen the regional economy, Deutsche Windtechnik said.
