GE Renewable Energy is to put a new Service Operations Vessel into action at the 396MW Merkur offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The Windea Jules Verne will work at the project, which features the turbine manufacturer’s 6MW Haliade units, for nine years.

The 93-metre SOV was built by Ulstein in Norway and is owned by Bernhard Schulte Offshore.
Up to 120 people can be accommodated on the ship, according to GE.
