Germany’s grid regulator BNetzA has awarded almost 464MW of onshore wind capacity to 61 projects in the country’s latest auction, which had over 825MW on offer.
BNetzA said 62 bids were received totalling just under 467.6MW, with one of the bids excluded due to a formal error.
Bid prices ranged from €59.0 a megawatt-hour to €62.0/MWh, with the average price at €61.4/MWh.
A solar auction held on the same day – 1 June – was oversubscribed with 101 bids totalling more than 447MW made for the almost 96.4MW available.
BNetzA awarded 21 bidders a total of 99.567MW.
Bids prices for solar were in the €49.0/MWh to €54.0/MWh range, with the average price €52.7/MWh.
Nine bids had to be excluded because of formal errors, the regulator said.
The next onshore wind and solar auctions will be held on 1 September, BNetzA said.
