Otary is to sell all the electricity produced by the 309MW Rentel offshore wind farm off the Belgian coast to domestic green retailer Lampiris, which is owned by French energy giant Total.
The 15-year deal will see about 1 terrawatt-hour of electricity a year supplied to Lampiris starting on 1 October.

Lampiris said the deal “decisively strengthens our local and sustainable roots”.
In February Otary opened a competition call for companies to buy the electricity generated by the project.
Rentel has been operational since late 2018 and features 42 Siemens Gamesa 7.35MW turbines with 154-metre rotors.
Otary comprises eight Belgian companies including DEME Group, Elicio, Aspiravi, Green Offshore, Power@Sea, Socofe, SRIW and Z-Kracht.
