Subsea 7 has confirmed the award of a contract by Vattenfall for work on the Hollandse Kust Zuid 1-4 offshore wind farm, following the developer’s positive final investment decision on the project.
The deal, which had been subject to Vattenfall taking the FID, includes the transport and installation of approximately 140 monopile foundations and 315km of 66kV array cables.
Offshore installation is scheduled for execution in 2021 and 2022 using Seaway 7’s heavy lift, cable lay and support vessels.
Subsea 7 said the contract, worth between $150m and $300m, will be recorded in backlog in the second quarter.
Hollandse Kust Zuid 1-4, which is located off the Netherlands, will feature 140 Siemens Gamesa 11MW turbines on monopile foundations fabricated by Sif.
Swire Blue Ocean will transport and install the turbines using its Pacific Osprey vessel.
TKF and Prysmian are supplying the array cables.
