Swedish renewable energy company Eolus Vind reported net profit up to almost Skr76m (€7m) in the three months from 1 December to 29 February, compared with just under Skr39m in the same period last year.
Earnings also rose to Skr53.0m from Skr25.9m in the period, which is the second quarter of the company’s financial year.
No specific reason was given for the increases, but Eolus said Aquila Capital acquired all the shares in the Oyfjellet wind farm in Norway during the quarter.
The project will feature Nordex hardware, with Eolus having a construction management agreement to build the wind farm for Aquila.
The company’s sales were down to Skr259.4m in the quarter from Skr370.2m in the same period in the previous financial year.
In the first six months of the financial year, Eolus said net profit was Skr117.8m, up from Skr39.7m 12 months ago.
Sales were higher at Skr553.7m than the Skr477.9m posted in the first six months of the previous financial year.
The company is currently constructing four wind farms due for commissioning this year or next totalling 607MW.
A further 12 wind farms with combined capacity over 1.3GW are in late stage development or at the sales phase and planned for commissioning between 2022 and 2024, it said.
