Australian marine services provider MMA Offshore has entered the renewables space after securing a contract with an unnamed company to support foundation installation at an undisclosed offshore wind farm off Taiwan.
MMA Offshore said the deal was with a “top tier construction contractor”, but did not elaborate further.
The company will deploy its MMA Vigilant vessel (pictured) to deliver integrated subsea services to monitor the seabed for dredging and piling work over a two-month period.
It will also provide end-to-end project services through the company’s vessel operations, subsea services and project logistics business units.
MMA managing director David Ross said the contract award was an exciting step forward for the company.
He said: “Expanding our service offering into supporting the renewable sector is a key step in executing our growth strategy.
“We are excited to be commencing this work scope and are looking forward to this being the first of many vessel contracts for MMA in support of the renewable sector.”
