CWind has introduced a deep clean process and embarkation procedure across its entire crew transfer vessel (CTV) fleet to reduce risks for offshore teams from the coronavirus.
All vessels will be equipped with alcohol-based hand sanitiser units, while all operations personnel will follow strict handwashing and sanitising procedures when getting on and off vessels.
All individuals aboard the CTVs are instructed to immediately inform the vessel master if they are feeling unwell with symptoms consistent with those of COVID-19.
CWind said it is following UK and local government guidelines as well as public health advice as appropriate, and “closely monitoring ongoing updates and changes, while making a conscious effort to minimise any impact on our business and continuing to support our client’s operations and projects”.
It added that in the case of “specific ongoing live projects, our teams continue to maintain regular direct communications with our customers”.
Other measures have been introduced in line with parent company Global Marine Group policy.
These include asking clients, vendors and contractors to ensure that their own processes and precautionary measures are of the same high standards and cancelling all non-business-critical travel.
All teams will also follow guidance given at daily meetings of group senior management team.
“We are committed to providing an uninterrupted service to all clients throughout the coming weeks and are available via the normal communication channels if you have any questions or concerns,” CWind said.
