Pacifico Energy has begun construction of a 111MW photovoltaic plant in Nishimuro-gun, Wakayama prefecture in Japan.
Sharp Energy Solutions is the project’s engineering, procurement and construction contractor.

The PV plant is being constructed on the site of a golf course.
Commercial operations are expected to begin in the spring of 2022.
This project was financed by a lending syndicate arranged by MUFG Bank, with law firm Baker McKenzie acting as legal counsel to Pacifico Energy.
Pacifico Energy has now commenced construction of 12 solar power plants throughout Japan, including the 111MW Wakayama facility, totalling 1042MW.
Six of these six, totalling 540MW, have been completed and are now in commercial operation.
