The Danish Energy Agency has given approval to Vattenfall for the 605MW Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm off the coast of Denmark.
DEA said approval of the project and granting of an environmental permit meant that Vattenfall could start building the wind farm once a one-month period to challenge the decision is over.
Anyone wishing to challenge the DEA decision has until 2 March to do so, the agency said.
Kriegers Flak will comprise 72 Siemens Gamesa 167-8.4MW turbines and is expected online by the end of 2021.
Jan De Nul has a contract to transport and install the turbines.
EEW has fabricated the 72 monopile foundations for the wind farm, with Bladt Industries delivering the transition pieces.
Kriegers Flak will be located in the Baltic Sea 15km from shore in water depths of 15 and 30 metres.
