Orsted has hired global marine surveyors EGS to carry out a geophysical survey of the up to 1100MW Ocean Wind offshore wind farm off the coast of Atlantic City in New Jersey.
EGS said that the survey will cover different areas of the wind farm site, some 24km off the US east coast.

The company will deploy the 50-metre survey vessel MV Neptune and a full spread of high-resolution bathymetric and geophysical equipment.
The latter includes a hull mounted, dual head/dual swath Kongsberg 2040C MBES system as well as an Innomar SES2000 parametric SBP and a Geo-Source sparker system.
EGS added that it is focusing on providing services to a growing number of US offshore wind farms with a tailored survey solution.
