GE Renewable Energy is to supply Engie North America with turbines for two wind farms totalling 494MW in the US.
The agreements cover 88 2.8-127 machines for the King Plains project in Oklahoma and 92 2.7-116 units for the first phase of the Triple H development in South Dakota.
Construction of the projects started this year, and both wind farms are expected to reach commercial operations in the second half of 2020.
Engie North America has ordered GE turbines totalling 885MW in the last year.
GE Renewable Energy chief executive onshore wind Americas Vikas Anand said: “We’re delighted to partner with Engie on these projects.
“Our best-selling 2MW turbines are a great fit for Engie’s needs, and we’re proud to help bring additional clean, affordable, renewable energy to their customers in Oklahoma and South Dakota.”
