RWE Renewables is carrying out repairs at its 400MW Rampion wind farm off the coast of southern England, after a fault in late October stopped the plant from exporting power.
A spokesperson for the developer told reNEWS the fault had occurred on the project’s high voltage distribution system.

“These are complex repairs and it is critical that they are carried out correctly which will take some time, so it will be a few weeks before we return to normal operation,” the spokesperson said.
This temporary shutdown of Rampion will not affect the supply of electricity to the local area.
Rampion features 116 MHI Vestas 3.45MW turbines and was officially opened last November.
