Spanish company Acciona posted earnings of €567m from its energy business in the first nine months of 2019, compared with €531m in the same period of 2018.
However, revenue from energy fell 5.6% to just under €1.50bn from €1.59bn in 2018.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation in Spain fell by 8.5% because of the disposal of concentrated solar power assets, while lower production was offset by higher power prices, the company said.
New capacity and foreign exchange rates helped boost revenue from the company’s international business by over 10% to €307m from €279m.
Acciona said installed capacity has increased by 509MW over the last 12 months, with 62MW added in Spain and 447MW in Chile, Ukraine and US.
Production was down 3.6% to 13,276 gigawatt-hours, mainly as a result of lower hydro output in Spain.
Total installed capacity at the company was just over 8GW at the end of September.
