The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) will hold a public meeting on 12 November to discuss how the US state should plan its transmission system to accommodate offshore wind power.
NJBPU said the meeting will be at the Trenton War Memorial in Trenton, between 10am and 4pm.

It added that the event is the first of possibly a series that will allow stakeholders to provide comment on one or more offshore wind transmission solutions.
Several panel discussions on a variety of topics will take place at the meeting.
These include looking at how other offshore wind jurisdictions have addressed transmission issues, the optimal development of framework for offshore transmission, technical considerations and costs, NJBPU said.
