The Swedish arm of turbine maintenance company Deutsche Windtechnik has signed a 14-year service agreement with Nordic wind energy developer Rabbalshede Kraft covering Enercon hardware.
The contract requires Deutsche Windtechnik to oversee the maintenance of 14 Enercon E-82 onshore turbines at the Dingel-Skogen wind farm in the west of Sweden starting on 6 November.
“A full service contract for Dingel-Skogen is an important step towards further expanding our service portfolio for Enercon in Sweden. In the near future, we expect to see further contracts for this type of turbine,” said Deutsche Windtechnik managing director Linus Sturesson.
In Sweden, Deutsche Windtechnik currently services around 150 wind turbines from Vestas, Siemens, Gamesa, Nordex, as well as Enercon.
Rabbalshede Kraft said Deutsche Windtechnik was its preferred choice due to the company’s experience with “numerous different brands”, a “good sense for the market price for different services … quality” of service and “openness and transparency”.
“We can say that Deutsche Windtechnik fulfils all of our requirements for a service provider,” said Rabbalshede Kraft operations manager Lars Jacobsson.
Rabbalshede Kraft plans, builds and owns land-based wind farms that it either sells or manages.
