Turbine installation has been completed at the 120MW Formosa 1 phase two offshore wind farm off Taiwan.
Taiwanese developer Swancor, which is one of the project partners, said commissioning of the Siemens Gamesa 6MW hardware is ongoing.
Swancor chairman Tsai Chao Yang described installation of the last turbine as a “major milestone for Taiwan’s offshore wind power industry”.
He added that the project should be fully operational before the end of this year.
The first of 20 turbines was installed in July with first power delivered by the project last month.
Formosa 1 is owned by Orsted (35%), Jera (32.5%), Macquarie Capital (25%) and Swancor (7.5%).
Swancor is in the process of selling 95% of its renewables business to US investor Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners.
