Norwegian energy company Statkraft has acquired three wind farms in Chile with a planned combined capacity of 110MW from an unnamed seller.
The projects are the 30MW Cardonal, 28MW Manantiales and 52MW Cerrillos, which are all located in the municipality of Litueche in the General Liberator Bernardo O’Higgins region.

Statkraft said each project has its environmental qualification resolutions approved.
The company will now develop the projects towards investment decisions and possible completion in 2022.
The total investment cost for the three wind farms is estimated at $180m, Statkraft said.
