Yingli Green Energy has supplied 110MW of its photovoltaic panels to developer Solaria Energia y Medio Ambiente for three separate projects in Spain.
The panels will be installed in two projects which each have a capacity of 30MW and a third with a capacity of 50MW.
The solar farms are under construction in Castilla y Leon.
Solaria was the awarded the projects under the country’s last large-scale auction held in July 2017.
Solaria chief executive Dario Lopez said: “In Solaria we have a very ambitious plan to reach more than 3GW of installed power in Spain by 2023.
“These projects are part of the first steps of this plan and in them we wanted to have a reference company in the sector such as Yingli.”
Yingli Europe managing director Luis Contreras said: “After several years of reduced growth, we are pleased to see the resurgence of the PV sector in Spain.
“Yingli is confident that solar energy is unstoppable and wants to be part of these emblematic projects and to work with Solaria to improve the Spanish energy mix and contribute to bring clean energy for all is very motivating.”
