US construction company Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives has secured a contract with Apex Clean Energy to build the 300MW Neosho Ridge wind farm in Kansas.
Work on the project, which will feature 139 Vestas turbines, is due to start this month.
Neosho Ridge is scheduled to come online in the fourth quarter of 2020.
The scope of the contract for Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives includes turbine installation, road maintenance, turbine access roads, MV collection system installation and the construction of a high voltage substation and transmission line.
Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives chief executive JP Roehm said: “The Neosho Ridge wind project is an excellent example of the continued strong demand for clean energy and the ongoing opportunities we see as the leader in the wind construction business.”
