A request for qualification to develop the up to 600MW each Manah 1 and 2 projects is available until 29 July.
The company aims to award the projects in the third quarter of next year, with the intention for them both to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2022.
Oman Power and Water Procurement Company said the solar farms will be built, owned and operated by private sector entities.
The scope covers financing, procurement, engineering, construction, operation and maintenance.
Both projects will located adjacent to one another at Manah, 150km from the Oman capital Muscat.
