Asset manager Re:cap Global Investors has contracted Deutsche Windtechnik to provide maintenance services on Senvion turbines at the Handewitt wind farm in Germany.
Handewitt went live in 2014 and features two Senvion 6.2M126 turbines.
Deutsche Windtechnik said it now was under contract to service all turbines manufactured by Senvion, including the MD and MM series, the 3.XM series and the 6.XM series.
“Senvion’s insolvency is currently creating a strong demand for our service for a wide range of this manufacturer’s turbine technologies, both onshore and offshore,” Detusche Windtechnik director Matthias Brandt said.
“Projects that have current, urgent issues in connection with our existing collaboration with Senvion are of particular importance.”
Only a small numbers of Senvion’s 6-MW class have been installed onshore, with most of them used for offshore projects.
