Orsted has hit the halfway point of the turbine installation campaign for its 1200MW Hornsea 1 offshore wind farm off England’s Yorkshire coast.
Some 87 of the project’s 174 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines are now installed and commissioned, the developer said.

Fred Olsen Windcarrier jack-up Bold Tern and DEME Offshore Sea Challenger vessel continue to install hardware from the project’s turbine marshalling port at Hull’s Alexandra Dock.
Orsted said the project is on track to reach full completion in the first quarter of 2020.
