German company Enercon and local outfit Enerjisa have been successful in Turkey’s latest 1GW onshore wind auction, according to the country’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
The winners were awarded 500MW each covering four 250MW projects in the Balikesir, Canakkale, Aydin and Mugla regions of the country.

Enercon secured the project in Balikesir with a bid of $35.3 (€31.74) a megawatt-hour and in Mugla with a price of $40/MWh.
Enerjisa bid $45.6/MWh for the Aydin project and $36.7/MWh for the Canakkale development, the ministry said.
Each project will be guaranteed 15-year power purchase agreements.
