It will feature four Senvion 6.3M152 turbines, which will be installed instead of the originally planned GE 6MW machines.
GE has decided to concentrate its focus on delivering its Haliade-X 12MW turbine to the market.
Golfe du Lion, which will be located in the Mediterranean Sea, is scheduled to be up and running in 2021.
The turbines at Golfe du Lion will be mounted on WindFloat semi-submersible steel foundations.
