EEW has completed the first pipe structure for the 72 monopile foundations for Vattenfall’s over 604MW Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm off the coast of Denmark.
The work is being carried out at the fabricator’s Rostock facility, the company said.

EEW SPC said that by September all the monopiles will have been produced and coated.
Transportation to the project site will start in May 2020, it added.
Van Oord has a contract to transport and install the foundations and transition pieces, with the latter being manufactured by Bladt Industries.
Kriegers Flak will feature 72 Siemens Gamesa 8.4-167 turbines.
