Bladt Industries has appointed Nils Overgaard as chief sales officer who will have global responsibility for all the company’s sales and business development.
Overgaard, who will join on 1 May, will be given responsibility for a new merged unit comprising the commercial and sales business segment and business development.
The current vice president for commercial and sales, Lars Bender, will continue within Overgaard’s team.
Overgaard joins the company from IBM, where he was head of energy and utilities industry, Nordics. He was also previously responsible for strategic customers in the Nordics with Vestas Offshore.
Bladt Industries chief executive Klaus Steen Mortensen said: “Nils has an in-depth understanding of where the industry and our customers are going as well as the way in which we can contribute to optimising the competitiveness of our customers.
“He will be bringing these skills to Bladt with the aim of consolidating our customer relationships further.”
As a supplier of critical components to major offshore wind power projects, the aim of the new merged unit is to provide support for customers’ development of their businesses and develop Bladt Industries’ value chain in the offshore wind industry.
