The UK Planning Inspectorate has completed examination of Orsted’s application for an order granting development consent for the proposed Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm off the east coast of England.
The findings and conclusions arising from the examination, together with the Planning Inspectorate’s recommendation, will be sent to the Secretary of State of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy no later than 2 July 2019.

Hornsea 3 has a proposed capacity of up to 2.4GW and would be situated off the coast of Norfolk.
The location is within the area known as Zone 4, under the Round 3 offshore wind licensing arrangements established by the Crown Estate.
