The Lindo Offshore Renewables Center has received Dkr50m from the Danish government for new test facilities at Munkebo on Funen in Denmark.
The government said that the Danish Export Credit Agency (EKF), Nordea, Vaekkstfonden and the Danish Green Investment Fund will also provide loans for the Dkr300m development.
The aim is develop facilities to test nacelles of between 600 tonnes and 800 tonnes, it added.
Danish energy minister Lars Christian Lilleholt said: “The Danish wind turbine industry literally takes some huge steps for our green transition and at the same time helps to draw large investments to Denmark.
“Therefore, in the government, we have decided to support the new testing facilities at LORC with Dkr50m.
“The work that is going to take place here is in all Danes’ interests – in relation to the climate, and in relation to export opportunities and green jobs.”
