Italian energy supplier Green Network Energy (GNE) has signed a deal to provide clean electricity to all the Italian embassies in the UK.
Under the terms of the contract GNE UK, which is based in the UK, will supply all the sites with 100% renewable electricity. The organisations will streamline their energy purchasing by having one supplier to deal with, according to the company.
Green Network Group, GNE UK’s parent, was set up in 2003 and is now the fourth largest electricity supplier in Italy, opening its UK business in 2016.
Over 450,000 active residential and small business accounts receive energy from GNE-UK, said the company.
GNE UK founder and chief executive Sabrina Corbo said: “We are honoured that such an important and prestigious institution as the Italian Embassy has chosen us as its energy supplier.
“We’re proud of our growth in the United Kingdom. We are more committed than ever to further growth and investment, using our core strengths of a quality products and service to all customers.”
