BP has named Alistair Vickers as the head of its global wind business.
Vickers, who will be based in Houston, will replace Laura Folse who retires at the end of March, three years after taking the role.

Vickers is currently vice president of technical functions in the operations of BP’s upstream, or oil and gas, business.
BP’s wind division represents a generating capacity of 1.8GW and includes 11 onshore wind farms.
Folse joined the company in 1982.
