Finnish energy company Fortum has secured the rights to build a 250MW photovoltaic plant in Rajasthan from the Solar Energy Corporation of India.
Commissioning of the plant is expected in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The unnamed plant will receive a fixed tariff of Rs2.48 a kilowatt-hour for 25 years, Fortum said.
The company already operates 185MW in India and is also building a further 250MW of solar power in the country, which is due online this year.
Solar Energy Corporation of India is a company of India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
